To assist our customers and help
them to efficiently contact the insurer providing their workers'
compensation benefits, we provide a list of claim representatives
for insurers and self-insurers in the State of Maryland.
These individuals are called "insurer designees."
* In accordance with
regulations (COMAR), Commission requires all insurers that provide workers' compensation insurance in Maryland to register an
Insurer Designee with the Commission who can provide the name of the competent individual handling and adjusting each disputed claim. The Insurer Designee does not have knowledge of claim status but rather is required, upon inquiry, to provide the name, address, telephone number, and email address of the competent individual handling and adjusting the claim. When requested, this information must be provided within two (2) business days.
