The Workers Compensation Coverage Verification service uses "cookies" and scripts.  Your web browser must accept cookies.

NCCI created the Workers Compensation Coverage Verification (WCCV) service to provide the general public with access to information on workers compensation coverage in the event of a claim; as of January 26, 2021 new features include:  Removing the seven-year limit on the Contains Search Adding the address to the search results - Search results are now state specific for reported employers in the state for the Coverage Date selected and consistent with the POC Inquiry tool   This implementation will also include a change to how POC Inquiry works when using the optional Coverage Date search field. Previously, the field would return results if the Coverage Date fell between the Policy Effective Date and Policy Expiration Date. After the implementation, the Coverage Date field in POC Inquiry will only return results if the date falls within the coverage period of the individual employer, not the policy. For example, if the employer was deleted or the policy cancelled prior to, the coverage search date, then the result would not be returned.

The person handling claims for workers' compensation insurers in Maryland is listed on the INSURER DESIGNEE list.  Once you've found the insurer name, contact information is on our Insurer Designee Page.

The link/button opens a SEARCH inquiry from another web site, not at the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission. This site provides public access to some information provided by workers' compensation insurance carriers for use by the Commission (MD WCC). The accuracy of the data from any "third party" cannot be guaranteed by the MD WCC and we are not responsible for information available from the SEARCH inquiry.

Best results are obtained with accurate information. The employer's correct Federal Tax Identification Number (FEIN) is the best and fastest search for a good result. An employer's legal trading name and business address will also give a good result. Note that results are date specific.  You cannot search for a date later than today.  No additional support for the use of the inquiry application (web page) is provided by the MD WCC.
No result does not necessary mean that the employer has no insurance, it may indicate only that there is no result from the information you searched on or the coverage is not currently reported.
