Chesapeake Employers' Insurance (formerly IWIF) provides workers' compensation insurance coverage and services to Maryland employers.

MIA - Maryland Insurance Administration

MIA regulates the insurance industry in Maryland and protects consumers by ensuring that insurance companies and health plans act in accordance with the law.

SIF - Maryland Subsequent Injury Fund

The SIF encourages the hiring of workers with pre-existing disabilities by assuming financial responsibility for the combined effects of a pre-existing disability and an accidental workplace injury.  It reviews and investigates workers' compensation claims involving pre-existing health conditions that substantially increase the disability of injured workers.
UEF - Uninsured Employers' Fund

The UEF promptly pays awards ordered by the Workers' Compensation Commission in favor of injured workers against non-insured employers who default in payments and maintains an adequate fund balance from which to pay claims through the collection of applicable fines, assessments and benefit recoveries.

OWCP administers four major programs providing wage replacement benefits, medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation and other benefits to federal workers or their dependents who are injured at work or acquire an occupational disease, including: the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program, the Federal Employees' Compensation Program, the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Program and the Black Lung Benefits Program.
