The Commission is closed Monday, October 12, 2009 in observance of Columbus Day.
October 28

We are proud to announce that Commissioner Cynthia S. Miraglia is a recipient of the Women's Bar Association of Maryland's prestigious Rita C. Davidson Award for 2009.
The award is given to women of honor who have served the WBA and the legal profession with distinction worthy of recognition.  Previous recipients include Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

The presentation dinner is scheduled for  November 17, 2009 at the Sheraton Washington North in Beltsville, Maryland.  More information and registration details for the event are available on the

OUR ONLINE SERVICES are unavailable from 9 p.m. Friday evening, October 23rd. Service will be restored before start of business, 8 a.m. Monday morning, October 26th. October 20 OUR ONLINE SERVICES are unavailable Tuesday evening, October 20th beginning at 6:30 p.m. for system maintenance and updates.  The outage is expected to require approximately one (1) hour.  All online forms and claim inquiry functions are unavailable during this period.  We apologize for the inconvenience and urge our customers to plan accordingly.
October 16 CRITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Employee Claim Form
Due to changes in technological requirements we have reprinted our hardcopy Employee Claim Form C-1 (ECF) to be compliant with our processes.  Effective December 1, 2009 we will not accept or process obsolete or older ECF bearing a version date earlier than 08/09.  The new form is available and may be requested via email: info@wcc.state.md.us (LINK) or by calling our Public Service section at (410) 864-5100.  Quantity and shipping address are required.

For convenience we recommend that our customers utilize our Online ECF on our Employee Claim Form C-1 Online page (LINK). Directions and an instructional video are available.
October 14 The Controversion of Medical Claim form H24M is revised - The new form designation is H-32, the revision date is October 2009.
It is available as an online WebForm for WFMS subscribed Attorney/Proxy and Insurer/Delegate and fillable PDF on our "Forms & Instructions" page (link).
October 7 The Commission is saddened to announce the passing of Commissioner Sidney W. Albert on October 7, 2009.
Funeral services and interment will be held at Ohel Yakov Beth Israel Cemetery - 6700 Bowleys Lane, on Thursday, October 8, at 3 :30 PM. Please omit flowers. October 2 On October 1, 2009, the Maryland Insurance Administration approved the NCCI August 5, 2009 filing proposing a 3.2% increase in voluntary workers' compensation loss costs.  The change is effective January 1, 2010.
October 1 The Insurer's Termination of Temporary Total Benefits form C-06 is revised.  The form is available to our Online Services subscribers for online submission and as a fillable PDF on our Forms & Instructions page.
