We are closed Friday, July 3, 2009 in observance of Independence Day.
July 13 The MD WCC Annual Information Report (A-01) for the period ending June 30, 2009 is now available online. It is strongly recommended that you use the online version to complete this year's A-01 Report. Please complete and electronically file the A-01 with the Commission no later than August 30, 2009. Each self-insurer is receiving a User ID and PIN via the U.S. Postal Service to access the online report. Please contact us if you need log-in information or assistance.  Information, instructions and more details are posted to the Insurance, Compliance and Reporting Division page (link).
July 9 Beginning on July 15, 2009, the MD WCC Report  of Payroll Form A-02 can be submitted electronically.
To complete and submit the form via your Internet browser you will need a log-in ID and Personal Identification Number (PIN).  This information was mailed to all self-insured employers and insurers on record with the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission on June 22, 2009.   The payroll reporting period is from 07/01/08 through 06/30/09; the report is due on or before September 15, 2009.

July 7 The COLA (cost of living adjustment) effective January 1, 2010 is 3.8%.

July 1 Pursuant to the direction of the Board of the Uninsured Employers' Fund, the Commission is increasing the assessments under Labor & Employment Article 9-1007(b).

Effective July 1, 2009, all applicable Orders issued by the Commission will include an additional one percent (1%) assessment to be paid by Employers/Insurers for maintenance of the Uninsured Employers' Fund.

The MD WCC Medical Fee Guide Committee meets on Friday, July 10, 2009, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission, 10 East Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21202, Room 409.

This meeting is open to the public.  Committee members should confirm their attendance with the Committee Secretary.
