The Commission & State offices are closed December 24th - 25th in observance of Christmas Day and pursuant to Executive Order 01.01.2009.11.  We open for business at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 28th.

EMERGENCY REGULATIONS ADOPTED, Effective January 4, 2010 - Emergency Amendments  to COMAR 14.09.01: Regulations .01 and .19 concerning compliance with the guidelines issued by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services with regard to the settlement of future medical benefits. Go to Regulatory Changes for details.

December 21 ALL HEARINGS SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY,  December 21st ARE CANCELED. Our Baltimore City Offices are staffed, liberal leave is in effect for State of Maryland employees.
December 11 We are saddened to announce the passing of Primo R. Padeletti, longtime labor advocate and contributor to the Workers' Compensation Commission and to workers' compensation on behalf of the injured worker. Mr. Padeletti, 76, a 50 year resident of Glen Burnie died on December 10, 2009 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Visitation is at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A.   3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 - December 13 & 14, 2009   3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  More information is available on their web site.
December 9 Our Statement of Wage Information (WCC C-2, 6/2008) is now available to Online Services insurer/delegate and attorney/proxy subscribers.
Revised forms:  The Settlement Worksheet - (WCC H07, 12/2009)  and Claimant's Affidavit in Support of Settlement - (WCC H-05 12/2009) are revised and should be utilized for all submissions effective immediately.  Settlement forms are located on our Forms & Instructions page.
December 4 Calendar year 2010 Medical Fee Guide reimbursement rates are posted to our Medical Fee Guide Info page.
December 3 2010 MD WCC Maximum Benefits Rates are posted on our Workers' Compensation Rates page.
December 2 CRITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT #3: Employee Claim Form
Due to changes in technological requirements we have reprinted our hardcopy Employee Claim Form C-1 (ECF) to be compliant with our processes.
Effective December 1, 2009 we do not accept or process obsolete or older ECF bearing a version date earlier than 08/09.  The new form is available and may be requested via email: info@wcc.state.md.us (LINK) or by calling our Public Service section at (410) 864-5100.  Quantity and shipping address are required.

For convenience we recommend that our customers utilize our Online ECF on our Employee Claim Form C-1 Online page (LINK).
