The Workers’ Compensation Commission welcomes our new Assistant Attorney General, Michele J. McDonald

Assistant Attorney General Michele J. McDonald is a graduate of Swarthmore College and the University Of Maryland School Of Law, where she was articles editor for the Maryland Law Review.  She served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Theodore G. Bloom, Maryland Court of Special Appeals.  Ms. McDonald joined the Office of the Attorney General in 1993 and has advised and represented the Department of Economic & Employment Development, represented the Sheriffs, and numerous other agencies.  She has represented the Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services in civil rights, employment and labor litigation.  Ms. McDonald is a frequent lecturer on state personnel, discrimination, and administrative law, for the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, Inc. (MICPEL) and the American Correctional Association (ACA).  She serves on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Law Center, is a member of St. Pius X Elementary School Board, and is immediate past Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Administrative Law Section.
